With over 40 years of experience in the fitness industry - He brings us: Body Talk

Are you tired of fitness material that leaves you confused? Do you want to look, feel, and respond better? If so, Body Talk is your answer. It will introduce to some and enhance for others the six best doctors in the world.

Body Talk confronts health questions and anxieties with compelling evidence and grace.  No one can read it and remain the same. The author has been a proponent of preventive medicine long before it was fashionable.

Western medicine’s greatest challenge is educating and motivating patients to adopt a healthier lifestyle. Body Talk simplifies that challenge. It provides a systematic approach to lifestyle fitness and presents the necessary knowledge, skills, and mindset for overall development.

In a nutshell, lifestyle fitness is simply physical activity that you integrate into your way of life, which can inspire and teach you discipline, adaptability, and balance.

The author’s understanding of physical activity as a powerful influence on overall development and his awareness of what people need to pursue active and healthy lifestyles have given birth to Body Talk.

Editorial Review

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by the mountain of fitness advice that seems to contradict itself at every turn, Body Talk: Real Talk offers a refreshing alternative that cuts through the noise with clarity and purpose. Rather than presenting fitness as a mere trend or complicated regimen, this book takes a thoughtful and systematic approach to what the author calls “lifestyle fitness”—a concept that centers on integrating physical activity seamlessly into everyday living.

The core premise of Body Talk is both compelling and straightforward: lifestyle fitness is not just about working out, but about adopting a mindset and behaviors that promote overall development and wellness. The author’s commitment to preventive medicine, evident throughout the book, underscores the value of staying proactive in maintaining health—long before this approach became a popular conversation in medical circles.

One of the most striking elements of Body Talk is its presentation of the “six best doctors in the world.” While these are not actual physicians in the traditional sense, this metaphorical group represents fundamental principles or disciplines that, when followed, can profoundly influence wellbeing. The book introduces these “doctors” with precision, making them accessible to beginners and enriching the understanding of those already familiar with fitness and health.

* Education with Evidence: The book is grounded with compelling research and real-world evidence, offering readers confidence that the guidance is not based on fleeting fads but on strong foundations.

* Systematic Lifestyle Approach: Instead of overwhelming readers with rigid or unrealistic fitness plans, Body Talk breaks down sustainable habits that fit into diverse lifestyles without excessive strain.

* Balanced Development: Emphasizing discipline, adaptability, and balance, the book reminds readers health is multifaceted—encompassing mental, physical, and emotional well-being.

Perhaps the greatest challenge in health today, as Body Talk identifies, lies in motivating individuals to adopt and maintain healthier habits long term. The gap between medical advice and patient action is a barrier that many health professionals strive to overcome. This book addresses that challenge head-on by demystifying fitness and eliminating the fear and confusion that often accompany lifestyle changes.

What stands out is the author’s graceful tone—balancing authoritative knowledge with empathy. The narrative is encouraging rather than judgmental, inviting readers to engage without intimidation. This inclusivity makes it a suitable read for anyone curious about improving their health, whether they are just starting or looking to deepen their practice.

In short, Body Talk: Real Talk is more than just a fitness book; it’s a guide that connects physical activity to overall personal growth. It empowers readers with the knowledge and skills to respond better to life’s challenges through an adaptable and balanced lifestyle. For those who seek clarity amid the overwhelming flood of fitness content, this book stands as a beacon of straightforward wisdom.

For book lovers who appreciate well-reasoned, evidence-based health literature that both informs and inspires, Body Talk: Real Talk is a highly recommended addition to your collection.

Raymond has been semiretired for almost twenty years, after owning and operating three successful businesses over his career. Being semiretired has given him the necessary time and opportunity to devote to his specific areas of interest. He has diligently worked in the health and fitness industry for over forty years, and he can’t give it up. It seems as if he's been fitness training and life coaching forever, but he loves it and that’s the reason he's semiretired.

The name of his personal training company is Head Session Inc., based in Stone Mountain, Georgia. He understands that fitness and health are vital components in regard to our way of life, but he also enjoys eating. That brings us to another one of his fulfilling interests, gardening. Playing with Mother Nature is one of his favorite pastimes. It has been said, “the planting of a seed is one of the greatest acts of faith one can exhibit” and he is a seed planter.

Raymond loves early mornings in his garden, He walks and talks with his Creator while tending to his garden. In that time and place, he is connected and in tune with the spiritual consciousness and rhythm of the universe. He prunes and prays over his vegetation to ensure a bountiful harvest. He also plays music, jazz of course, for his garden dwellers as a form of nurturing. It is truly his labor of love.

Another great thing about being semiretired is that it has allowed him time to travel, and Afrika has always been his specific area of interest. Sadly, his late daughter Meghan transitioned before getting there. However, she was taken there and as they spread her ashes in South Afrika it was in acknowledgment that she was their calm in the midst of the dreadful South Afrikan storm. Meghan is the reason he writes, and exposing fundamental truths is the reason he travels.

After graduating high school, he enlisted in the military and was also accepted to the University of Maryland. Fortunately, the Marine Corps had an affiliate relationship with the university allowing him to do both simultaneously. Additionally, he had the opportunity to travel the Far East, on Uncle Sam’s dime, fueling his ambitions for future travel.

From the time he was a young boy, Afrika fascinated him, but he never imagined that more than fifty years later, he’d be cruising the Nile River, while traveling and studying on the vast Afrikan continent. His Ancestral homeland journeys and the insight obtained have been highly educational, inspirational, and life-altering for a number of reasons.

First and foremost, it has allowed him to embrace and internalize the intangible faces of his heritage that link his identity and history, revealing who he is, where he comes from, and where he still must go. It has shown him, his mothers’ mothers, and his fathers’ fathers, and the exploitation of their mentality and spirituality.

For his children, it has provided the necessary cultural substance by giving him the blueprint to obtain an everlasting vision. It has also given him the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to undress the well-dressed lies that history has told, which he can now informatively write about, exposing the naked truth.
