Raymond has been semiretired for almost twenty years, after owning and operating three successful businesses over his career. Being semiretired has given him the necessary time and opportunity to devote to his specific areas of interest. He has diligently worked in the health and fitness industry for over forty years, and he can’t give it up. It seems as if he's been fitness training and life coaching forever, but he loves it and that’s the reason he's semiretired.

The name of his personal training company is Head Session Inc., based in Stone Mountain, Georgia. He understands that fitness and health are vital components in regard to our way of life, but he also enjoys eating. That brings us to another one of his fulfilling interests, gardening. Playing with Mother Nature is one of his favorite pastimes. It has been said, “the planting of a seed is one of the greatest acts of faith one can exhibit” and he is a seed planter.

Raymond loves early mornings in his garden, He walks and talks with his Creator while tending to his garden. In that time and place, he is connected and in tune with the spiritual consciousness and rhythm of the universe. He prunes and prays over his vegetation to ensure a bountiful harvest. He also plays music, jazz of course, for his garden dwellers as a form of nurturing. It is truly his labor of love.

Another great thing about being semiretired is that it has allowed him time to travel, and Afrika has always been his specific area of interest. Sadly, his late daughter Meghan transitioned before getting there. However, she was taken there and as they spread her ashes in South Afrika it was in acknowledgment that she was their calm in the midst of the dreadful South Afrikan storm. Meghan is the reason he writes, and exposing fundamental truths is the reason he travels.

After graduating high school, he enlisted in the military and was also accepted to the University of Maryland. Fortunately, the Marine Corps had an affiliate relationship with the university allowing him to do both simultaneously. Additionally, he had the opportunity to travel the Far East, on Uncle Sam’s dime, fueling his ambitions for future travel.

From the time he was a young boy, Afrika fascinated him, but he never imagined that more than fifty years later, he’d be cruising the Nile River, while traveling and studying on the vast Afrikan continent. His Ancestral homeland journeys and the insight obtained have been highly educational, inspirational, and life-altering for a number of reasons.

First and foremost, it has allowed him to embrace and internalize the intangible faces of his heritage that link his identity and history, revealing who he is, where he comes from, and where he still must go. It has shown him, his mothers’ mothers, and his fathers’ fathers, and the exploitation of their mentality and spirituality.

For his children, it has provided the necessary cultural substance by giving him the blueprint to obtain an everlasting vision. It has also given him the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to undress the well-dressed lies that history has told, which he can now informatively write about, exposing the naked truth.

Frequently Asked Questions

The American Dream has been exalted to the point of making it something it was never meant to be, resulting in a disappointing ideology for people of color.

The American Dream should not be a one-size-fits-all concept. It should be an unbiased, fluid notion that embodies the principles of the U.S. Constitution in practical philosophy.

History illuminates the safest path in front of us by revealing the pitfalls of the past.

Education is arguably the ultimate equalizer. Moreover, whether legitimate or not, educational opportunity and academic achievement are directly tied to the social divisions associated with race, ethnicity, gender, first language, and social class.

CRT is not a divisive discourse that pits people of color against white people, it is much more than just pointing to race. It emphasizes outcomes, not merely on an individual’s beliefs, and it calls on these outcomes to be examined and rectified.

Our innate knowledge and its application will aid us in knowing what must be done to enhance our future.

Knowing one’s history is vital because when we know our past, we can interpret our present and project our future.  Ultimately, “Knowledge” or the lack thereof will determine  “The Haves and the Have Nots.”

The human body is a wondrous creation and a miracle to behold. It is unequaled in its complexity and unlimited in its potential. Ultimately, the body is an instrument that God himself has made for His divine purpose. It is the means of that harmony for which God created man.

Parental involvement is one of the most significant contributions to the academic and overall social success of our children. Parents must instill in their children a respect for education and an understanding of the power associated with attaining knowledge.

This power will not only allow our children to know and understand that they have a role in creating the world they want for generations to come, but it will also allow them to be active participants in the creation process.

Our children’s mental health is in crisis. Now is the time to demand change with our voices and actions. We must also understand that our obligation to act is not just medical; it’s moral.

The definition of “woke” changes depending on who you ask. Merriam-Webster Dictionary states that being “woke” politically in the Black community means being informed, educated, and conscious of social injustice and racial inequality.

The Oxford English Dictionary added “woke” in 2017. The term and its derivatives describe people alert to racial or social discrimination and injustice.

By shining the light of truth on the destructive violence that has shaped our nation, traumatized people of color, and compromised our commitment to the rule of law and equal justice.
