Kerry "Doc" Pardue never intended to become a writer, poet, or artist. BUT--Life happens.  Come along the journey with Doc Pardue as he tells his story of finding help to deal with PTSD.  He suffered a number of years with nightmares, sleepless nights, broken relationships.  When he got fired from his job it served as a wake up call for him to make some changes in his life.  He began to write down bits and pieces of a story that has become Rice Paddy Stew and Saigon Tea.  This journey helped him to find love, acceptance, care, and health for himself.  He learned how to deal with survivor's guilt and yes, even a renewal of not only his spirit, mental health, and regaining the spiritual side of his life.  So come on in, sit and read and I am sure you will get a taste of...Rice Paddy Stew and Saigon Tea...

Kerry "Doc" Pardue

Kerry was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and Sauk Village, Illinois.  He was raised in a mid-west environment by Southern parents.  He moved out the day he graduated from high school ready to begin his life.  College lasted one year and then the US Army called his name and he answered.  Kerry served as a combat medic in Vietnam and yes, there were elephants to be ridden, bears to play with, and tigers roaming in his base camp.  Outside were the enemy.  He found and met his future wife while serving in Vietnam.  Kerry calls her his mail ordered bride.  He made careers as a police detective, letter carrier, and college recruiter. They went on to live in Germany, Illinois, Virginia, Arizona with side moves to Tennessee and Fresno, CA.  They are retired and currently call Chandler, Arizona home.  They have three children, ten grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
