Joan Schreiner, Chaplain and Author. She was born on January 16, 1963, in the Bronx, New York, USA. Joan is a woman of unwavering faith who loves serving in the Kingdom of God. She feels a strong calling to minister to those most in need. Since 2024, she has served in chaplaincy ministry alongside her husband, Steve Hertz; together, they have fulfilled a pastoral role in the areas of greatest need within their community. Joan’s life was marked from childhood by deeply painful experiences—including rejection and abuse—that left lasting scars. A wife, a mother of five (one of whom is now in the presence of God), and a grandmother to seven beautiful grandchildren, she cherishes her family above all else, considering them her greatest treasure.
