Dr. Forté Carter is a woman of many callings. A State Bishop-Indiana, speaker, songwriter-composer, performer, counselor, teacher, and now author. Dr. Carter was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California. Lived and performed in Japan as her third home. Carter has dedicated her life to uplifting and empowering others, particularly women navigating life's most challenging transitions. She has held the title Minister of Music and director at several churches. She has spent decades leading worship, directing choirs, preaching, teaching, and using her gift to lift others into God's presence. As a recording artist, her voice has been her instrument in the R&B, gospel, and jazz genre domestically and internationally. As an entrepreneur, she owns and operates a successful travel agency and multiple other businesses and has built an empire. A couple of hobbies are golf and chess. SWAT was born from Dr. Carter's passion for ministering to women going through the change of life. Those seasons when everything feels uncertain and the people you once relied on may no longer be there. Having experienced her own triumphs over disappointment and despair, Dr. Carter writes with the authority of being someone who has walked through the fire but emerged with faith intact. With a Doctorate in Ministry, Dr. Carter blends theological depth with practical wisdom, offering readers not just hope, but a roadmap to maintain their faith when life gets hard. Whether through the pulpit, the stage, the counseling room, or the written word, her message remains consistent: our faith must be anchored in God our Creator, not in people or circumstances. Born and raised with a deep love for music, fashion, and faith, Dr. Carter has never been one to fit into easy categories. She is equally at home in a glamorous gown and full makeup as she is in deep theological study. She holds advanced degrees and has studied world religions, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Secularism alongside her lifelong Christian faith. She asks hard questions, refuses easy answers, and believes that seeking truth is an act of worship. She is a perfectionist as well. Accomplishments and certifications Ordained Minister, Consecrated Bishop in the State of Indiana, Doctorate degree DCS, and Evangelist. Dr. Carter is currently exploring new spiritual horizons, asking bold questions about faith and truth, and much to her own surprise, navigating the brutal world of dating after seven years in the abyss. Her next book projects in the works are, “Serial Dating”, “The Color of Royalty”, and “The Life and Times of Pamela Forté Carter” her autobiography to wrap it up and why she dropped her first name. She dedicates this book SWAT to every woman who has been dismissed by doctors, abandoned by those she trusted, and left to figure out her own healing. To every person who has felt like they're disappearing while test results say they're fine. To everyone still in the chrysalis, waiting for wings. The black butterfly has emerged. And she's just getting started. Through her music, ministry, and now SWAT, Dr. Carter illuminates the light at the end of the tunnel for women who feel lost in transition. Her work reminds us that disappointment is not the end of the story, it's often the beginning of a deeper, more authentic faith.
