About Soulful Serenity

According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, July, 2024. 42.9% of people aged 16-85 years experience mental disorder at some time with 21.5% experiencing long term, ongoing suffering.Anxiety being the most common at 17.2% .of that group.
The age-group 16-24 years had a 12 month + disorder.
Increased numbers are expected in the future especially with the cost of living and health going up and becoming unaffordable for many, . Finding a way to deal with these mental health conditions isn't always easy.
The author, having  suffered extreme anxiety and depression since early childhood researched over many years different cultures and their healing modalities, beliefs and religious practices seeking relief.
Adie tried all different types of therapies , always with an open mind, and all helped in their own way.
She went on to study psychotherapy and hypnotherapy & became a qualified counsellor and spiritual psychotherapist for a lot of her adult life, Still, Adie sought relief. She studied and researched.
When she felt there was nowhere left to go, as is often the case, she turned her thoughts and energy to prayer. The documented  results
are nothing short of astonishing!
With mental health issues increasing throughout the world, prayer has helped to develop her faith and  gain a deeper understanding of her relationship with the Almighty.
A phrase from the bible that stuck with her from day one is " It is your faith that has healed you"
Adie had no interest in God.. angels yes.. but God, nope! Believing in him wasn't the issue - why he let  certain things happen was.
At that time, she did not understand that God is supernatural and does not think nor behave like humans.
Working through her issues, attending numerous courses, workshops, lectures and reading 100s of books, in time, she realized she was mad with God.
Her first book shows us how, when we have exhausted every other avenue, we can finally surrender and learn to pray and give ourselves to God who does not chastise but hold us in loving grace.
Adie claims her anxiety may well have been a lack of faith.
