Displaying eBooks Correctly in the Bookstore

I have two Kindle books available at Amazon, "Jumpy" and "Grandpa's Country Farm."

They are also included in my HostingAuthors bookstore, but things are not as they should be. After spending time experimenting, I was eventually able to get them to display in my HA bookstore by ALSO designating them as paperbacks when I entered the data.

So, when browsing my bookstore, the user sees "$.99 - Number of Paperbacks." They should see "$.99 - Number of eBooks."

It would be good to get this issue corrected to avoid confusing bookstore browsers.

Just make sure that the ebooks 1) have a price and 2) you uploaded the ebook files. Remember that when you sell ebooks from your bookstore, you are actually delivering the files to the customer (actually, the HostingAuthor's system does that, but in order to do it, you need to upload the ebook files.)

Let me know if this does not solve your issue.

I understand your point. However, I want to offer the two books mentioned ONLY through the Amazon Kindle system. If offered through the HA system, users will be able to purchase a copy, then pirate and share freely (and I will get no Amazon reviews). As the HA systems currently exists, it seems that I will have to live with the confusion if I wish to have the two titles display in my bookstore. Not too terribly bad, as shoppers will see they are only available via Kindle download once they click on the purchase link. If you have any other possible "workarounds" or suggestions, please advise.

So you don't want to sell the books yourself - you want people to buy them on Amazon. Then just don't include them in your bookstore. The links you provide on the book website will be directly to Amazon, not to you bookstore. Your bookstore is not a complete listing of all your books; it is just the books and formats that you choose to sell directly.

Hope this helps.
